Our standards

Training that reflects real standards

We train every member of our team to deliver care that meets the CQC’s five key standards—Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. Our training isn’t just a checklist. It’s about ensuring that the people we place are confident, capable, and committed to delivering care that reflects the quality you expect.

Staff are trained in infection control, safeguarding, medication safety, and identifying and reporting risks early.

Our staff follow detailed care plans, understand the Mental Capacity Act, and use good communication to support health outcomes.

We look for warmth and kindness during recruitment—and we reinforce this through person-centred care, dementia awareness, and empathy-focused training.

Our staff are trained to recognise and respond to changing needs, escalate concerns, and adapt quickly to new environments.

From day one, staff are supported to take responsibility for their conduct, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in professional teams.

How we expect our team to show up, every shift

We ask every Aroha Care professional to arrive on shift prepared, presentable, and ready to provide care with confidence and compassion.

These standards help create trust, stability, and a sense of calm—for everyone receiving or delivering care.

Whether you’re looking for care professionals or to become one, we’d love to hear from you.
